about me
Hi! I’m Maggie!
Illustrator and graphic designer
I love nature, Moomins and Studio Ghibli's movies but most of all children illustration. I adore beautiful yet creative and unusual solutions and using printing techniques to enhance illustrations. I like to use ink and watercolour as they surprise me and feel joyfully experimental.
published works
I have had the pleasure to create a few imaginary
worlds so far. I’m grateful for the opportunity to
create something for kids to wonder.
“Jumi’s Tornado"
Illustrations, cover design and DTP
Publisher: Dziwimisie, Author: Klaudia Piróg
The story tells about a girl who struggles
to control her anger. I used two colors while illustrating the book: blue symbolising sadness and red symbolising anger.
Only one, last illustration is painted with colors that are less saturated, calmer and varied as the main character learns to control her emotions towards the end of the story.
“Mysterious someone”
Illustrations, cover design and DTP
Publisher: Dziwimisie, Author: Klaudia Piróg
Fully illustrated cardboard book for littlest ones telling the story of an owl Anna, who despite being very afraid and shy, manages to gather courage and greet her neighbour Spider Andrew which then leads to friendship.
“Misteries”
Illustrations
Author and Publisher: Natalia Lublińska
My first published illustrations for a set of children’s stories published in form of letters sent to subscribers.
“Great adventure”
Illustrations and cover design
Publisher: Dziwimisie, Author: Kasia Kilczuk
A story about summer adventures in the country side, joys of simpler life away from the internet and video games that teaches many important lessons to older kids. I decided to use very saturated and juicy greens as the main color pallette to bring those summer fields and forests straight to the reader.
“Dog for a cat?”
illustrations and cover design
Author: Joanna Rozwadowska, self publishing
A story narrated from a cat’s perspective explaining complicated relationships between a cat and a newly adopted dog. Because the book explains a lot of cat’s emotions and behaviour I decided to accentuate it’s expressions and postures as well as emotions with the help of light and shadow.
“Misza, cat from beyond the Urals”
Cover design
Publisher: Wielka Niedźwiedzica
Author: Karolina Talar
Illustration, cover design
and DTP of the cover.

of magic to this world!
In my illustrations nature is very present.
My private projects are often dreamy, emotional and created with my favourite mixed technique using primarily watercolor or ink.
I like the expressiveness of these techniques and their unpredictable nature.
I like to play
with metaphor, imagination
and emotional messages.
